Some sixth graders were helping me set up the room for a Chinese Brush Painting Class placing ink, paper, and brushes on each table. Out of the corner of my eye I saw my helper raise the ink and sniff it. Then to my disbelieving eyes, he tilted the ink toward his open mouth!
"It's toxic!" I yelled in horror (which was true as I was using real sumi ink). He stopped and looked haplessly at me. "Really?". Sigh.
Expect everything.
